Earth is currently passing through the Holocene epoch. The name is derived from the Greek words ὅλος (holos, whole or entire) and καινός(kainos, new) meaning "entirely recent."

The Archean

These tickets to the Sound Cannon show include a one hour sonic spectacle of volcanic eruptions, comet collisions, and audible cross sections of cratonic shields. A thousand buildings exist inside the Turbine Hall via sound cannons on lease from the US military. Walk around during the show and experience the various clouds of sound. At the finale, dynamite and pick axes will be projected on the cliff face of the plateau--the island’s own geologic origin exposed.

Carboniferous means "coal-bearing" from the Latin root, carbo. During this period Earth experienced glaciation and low sea levels. Organic matter was laid down and would later become coal beds.
A pirate radio station is installed somewhere in the bowels of Cockatoo Island, broadcasting acoustic translations of carbon spectra. Using the enclosed Ground-Penetrating Radio Receiver, your task is to find the signal and decipher its code. You might just learn the coordinates of Gondwanaland’s largest, untapped coal bed.

The Silurian
The Silurian period was named by Sir Roderick Murchison for a Celtic tribe of Wales, the Silures.
This sand, imported by MoAG’s branch at the dunes of Altyn-Emel National Park in Kazakhstan, is an acoustic threshold to the Silurian period, when arid conditions prevailed across Earth. Follow these instructions:
1. Wait for a hot, dry sunny day.
2. Pile this sand on the north apron of the island
3. Micro-avalanches will produce a resonance of about 450Hz caused by the shearing of sand.
4. Amplify the effect by bringing some friends (who will purchase additional sacks of MoAG singing sand.)
5. Blow the Opera House off its foundations when you convert the entire island into a sand dune humming to all of Sydney Harbour.
